    RECYCLABLE MATERIALS (Landfill Disposal Prohibited) 

    The following material is only accepted at the Recycling Park and must be separately sorted before arriving at the Recycling Park: 

    Electronics: Anything that has an electrical cord or batteries, electronic cigarettes, cell phones, keyboards, televisions, computers, and tablets 

    Glass: Bottles and jars 

    Inert: Construction and demolition debris, drywall, cement, and asphalt 

    Metals: All metals, bicycles, BBQs, and shelving 

    Organic Waste: Plants and vegetation, food, food-soiled paper, and livestock manure 

    Paper & Cardboard: Non-coated carboard, newspaper, boxes, magazines, and phone books 

    Plastic: Plastic beverage containers, rigid plastics (HDPE), and polypropylene 

    Other: Whole tires, white goods/appliances, and mattresses 

    HAZARDOUS MATERIALS (Landfill Disposal Prohibited) 

    The following material is only accepted at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility (only open Wednesdays 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.) 

    Automotive Fluids: Motor oil and oil filters, antifreeze, gasoline, and brake / transmission / steering fluids 

    Batteries: Non-rechargeable, rechargeable, automotive, and alkaline lithium 

    Chemicals and Cleaning Products: Floor and furniture polish, oven cleaner, bleach, lye, drain cleaners, and hydrochloric acid (household and industrial) 

    Compressed Cylinders: Propane tanks, helium tanks, air tanks, and fire extinguishers 

    Fluorescent Lights and Mercury: Fluorescent tubes, compact fluorescent lights (CFLs), thermometers, thermostats, and other mercury containing devices 

    Gardening and Farm Supplies: Fertilizers, pesticides, poisons, weed killer, pest killers 

    Painting Products: Latex and oil-based paints, stains, spray cans, and thinners 

    Pool and Hobby Supplies: pool chemicals, solvents, and adhesives 

    Sharps Waste: Syringes (needles) and lancets 

    Other: Printer cartridges, smoke detectors, and aerosol cans 

    THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED AT THE LANDFILL, RECYCLING PARK, OR HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE FACILITY: 

    Explosives 

    Friable Asbestos 

    Liquid Waste

    Infectious Waste (except Sharps) 

    Radioactive Material
