Mattress Recycling Program

Do you have a mattress or box spring you want to get rid of? Santa Maria residents* may bring up to five (5) mattresses or box springs for free to the Santa Maria Regional Landfill at 2065 East Main Street from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Saturday. 

The following items are excluded from this program and subject to disposal fees: 

• Waterbeds 

• Sleeping bags, pillows, cushions 

• Loose bedding, blankets, sheets 

• Sofa beds 

• Air mattresses 

• Loose mattress pads, toppers 

• Playpens, infant carriers 

Businesses are not eligible for free mattress recycling.
