Full STEAM Ahead
Full STEAM Ahead is a student-led leadership program that seeks to inspire community youth, and aid in their discovery of the power of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM). Members plan, coordinate, and lead STEAM activities through “pop up” events with various interactive learning stations. In addition to community service, teens are engaged with leadership development workshops and through the STEM Professional Guest Speaker Series.
The Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center Key Club is part of a national student-led organization that empowers its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership skills.
Career Camp is a two-day workshop offered to local teens focused on the development of professional development skills to aid in their pursuit of obtaining their first job. The camp workshops include topics on dressing for success, resume writing, mock job interviews, and a panel of professionals.
