Interested in starting a home garden? Want to grow your collection? The Santa Maria Public Library can help!
A seed library is a collection of seeds that are available free of charge to all members of the community. The process is simple, take up to three packets of seeds home to plant and grow. Flowers, vegetables, herbs and more are available! To complete the cycle let your plants “go to seed” and then return seeds to the library to share with other community members.
Need some help getting started? A binder of instructional information on each seed is available to read or photocopy.
Seed libraries are available at all branches of the Santa Maria Public Library System.
