Makerspace
The Santa Maria Library Makerspace is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Central Coast Makerspace, is a partnership between the Library, the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum and Allan Hancock College. A grant from the California Community College Chancellor’s Office funds the program. To see all of the Central Coast Makerspace events view the joint calendar here.
All of the Makerspace tools, devices, and materials are free to use at the Santa Maria Public Library. Visitors may bring their own materials to use with Makerspace equipment. Please get approval from Makerspace staff to use your own materials on the equipment.
The Library offers a variety of tools to use including 3-D printers, sewing machines, button makers, Photoshop, Silhouette cutter, virtual reality and more. Come in to explore all the possibilities.
Please review the Makerspace Policy before your first visit. All first time users must sign the waiver in the policy prior to using any of the tools provided. Happy Making!
