The Santa Maria Public Library Foundation (SMPLF) is a nonprofit, charitable 501c3 supporting all five libraries in Cuyama, Guadalupe, Los Alamos, Orcutt, and Santa Maria.  The Foundation is currently fundraising for a bookmobile.  Other areas of support include chromebooks for afterschool homework help, annual cowboy poetry contest and event, local history displays, and  MakerSpace programs. The Foundation holds an annual fundraiser each February and a volunteer recognition event in April.
