The Current Development Activity webpage includes resources that help identify the larger development activities occurring, approved, or being reviewed in the City of Santa Maria. These lists are not all-inclusive; they do not track minor subdivisions and administrative use permits. They do not show activities occurring in the unincorporated areas that fall outside the City’s jurisdiction. The Past Development Activity contains archived development lists, reports, and data that are not included on the Current Development Activity webpage or the General Plan webpage.

Major Development Lists
The Planning Division publishes a city-wide list of proposed and approved development projects in the City. A summary map is included as well. This list is updated periodically.

Current Year Building Permit Activity Report
To assist you in finding the most current and up-to-date building permit information, use this link to determine specific actions taken to change the actual project status (i.e. new building permits issued). This file includes monthly building totals for building permits issued in the current calendar year.
