Movies in the Park: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales


The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department and People for Leisure and Youth (PLAY), Inc. are pleased to announce a screening of the adventure-fantasy film, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, on Saturday, August 4th at the Paul Nelson Aquatics Center, 600 South McClelland Street.


Dead Men Tell No Tales is the fifth in the series of the Pirates of the Caribbean films and follows the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow as he attempts to escape his nemesis, Captain Salazar. Salazar leads a ship of ghost pirates from the Devil’s Triangle to achieve revenge on Captain Jack Sparrow. The only way to save himself is by way of the Trident of Poseidon, which when obtained allows the possessor total control of the sea!


Movies in the Park are free and family-friendly. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, throw blankets, and snacks. There will be a free swim from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. with the movie beginning at dusk, approximately 8:00 p.m.
