The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department and People for Leisure And Youth, Inc. (PLAY, Inc.) invite the community to celebrate Independence Day at the Red, White and Boom! Fireworks Show and Street Festival on Wednesday, July 4^th beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Sierra Vista Park, 809 Panther Drive. Sponsors are still needed for the fireworks show; see below for details.

The festival will include arts and crafts, bounce houses, and outdoor games. Live music will be provided by local band, The Molly Ringwald Project from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Picnicking is permitted but no barbecuing, tailgating, glass containers, or tent canopies. Refreshments will be for sale from local food trucks. Beer and wine will be available for purchase in the beer garden.

The event will conclude with a community fireworks show at 9:00 p.m. The fireworks show is paid for entirely by donations from local sponsors. No personal fireworks are allowed.

Parking opens at 4:30 p.m. and is available on Panther Drive for $5.00 per car. General parking will enter from the Main Street entrance to Panther Drive, and parking for persons with disabilities will be accessible from the Donovan Road/Suey Road Crossing entrance to Panther Drive.
