Movie Night at the Library on June 11th

The City of Santa Maria Public Library Department is pleased to show the movie Ghostbusters (2016) which is rated PG-13. The film will be screened on Monday, June 11th at 5:00 p.m. in Shepard Hall. This event is free and no tickets are required.

In the movie, paranormal researcher Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy) and physicist Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig) are trying to prove that ghosts exist in modern society. When strange apparitions appear in Manhattan, Gilbert and Yates along with nuclear engineer Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon) and subway worker Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones) band together to stop the otherworldly threat. Armed with proton packs and plenty of attitude, the four women prepare for an epic battle as more than 1,000 mischievous ghouls descend on Times Square.

Seating is limited and is offered on a first come, first served basis. Freshly popped popcorn will also be served free of charge.

The Library’s hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The Library is closed on Sunday. The Library is located at 421 S. McClelland Street.
