Free Family Cowboy Poetry Event at the Santa Maria Public Library

 

Dust off the cowboy garb and head to the City of Santa Maria Public Library for a rousing good time at the Cowboy Poetry Event, on Saturday, May 19th at 2:00 p.m. in Shepard Hall.

 

Five-time world champion steer wrestler Luke Branquinho of Los Alamos will be on hand to show off some roping tricks and talk to the crowd about his experience as a real working cowboy.  Cap off the fun by with presentation of awards for the third annual Kid’s Cowboy Poetry contest, where winners and participants will be recognized for their creative entries.

 

This program is generously sponsored by the Santa Maria Public Library Foundation and the Elks Rodeo.

 

The main Library’s hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays.  The Library is closed on Sundays.
