The Valley Reads Book Club


The City of Santa Maria Public Library is pleased to present its monthly book club, The Valley Reads, on Tuesday, May 22nd in Shephard Hall.


Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman tells the story of Richard Mayhew whose life is forever changed after rescuing a young girl named Door. Richard finds himself living in a city of monsters, saints, murderers, and angels, and must help Door on her mission to save this strange underworld kingdom from destruction.


To join The Valley Reads please come to the Public Library and sign-up with staff at the second-floor information desk.


The Valley Reads meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month in Shephard Hall from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Complimentary snacks and coffee will be served.


The Library’s hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The Library is closed on Sunday. The Library is located at 421 South McClelland Street.
