Movie Night at the Library on March 12th

The City of Santa Maria Public Library is pleased to show the movie Into the Woods (2015), which is rated PG. The film will be screened on Monday, March 12th at 5:00 p.m. in Shepard Hall. This event is free and no tickets are required.

The movie is a modern twist on several of the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella (Anna Kendrick), Little Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford), Jack (Daniel Huttlestone) and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel, all tied together by an original story involving a baker (James Corden) and his wife (Emily Blunt), and their wish to being a family and their interaction with the witch (Meryl Streep) who has put a curse on them.

Seating is limited and is offered on a first come, first served basis. Freshly popped popcorn will also be served free of charge.

The Library’s hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The Library is closed on Sunday. The Library is located at 421 S. McClelland Street.
