Tree Planting Day at Los Flores Ranch Park

The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department invites community members to a tree planting day at Los Flores Ranch Park. The event will be held on Saturday, November 18th from 9:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. Participants will meet at the Los Flores Ranch Park Visitors Center located at 6271 Dominion Road.

The goal is to plant 100 Coastal Live Oak trees. Tools will be supplied. Please bring water and wear appropriate work clothes including closed-toed shoes, pants, hat, and gloves.

Conservation is a main priority at the park. More than 500 oak trees sprouted from seed in the Los Flores Ranch Park nursery have been planted by generous community members who volunteered numerous hours of service.

For more information regarding this event please call (805) 925-0951 extension 2260 or visit the Recreation and Parks Department’s administrative office at 615 South McClelland Street.
