More Crafty Critters at the Library
Teens, want to learn to sculpt with wool? Local artists from the Valley Art Gallery (formerly Town Center Gallery) will instruct teens in creating their very own crafty critters out of felted wool on Wednesday, November 11th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Altrusa Theater of the Santa Maria Public Library.
Needle felting is fun, simple, and easy to learn. The lifelike quality of wool lends itself as the perfect medium for sculpting animals and people. No need for sewing, stuffing, or wire parts. Bring your imagination. Materials are provided.
Please note a FREE ticket is required to attend this event. Tickets are available at the Youth Services Desk. Registration is limited. This program is open to junior high and high students only. Funding is provided by the Altrusa International Foundation, Santa Maria and the Santa Maria Arts Council.
Tickets may be picked up at the Youth Services Desk or reserved by call (805) 925-0994 as soon as they become available. Reserved tickets must be picked-up later the same day. Up to six tickets may be reserved per family, but reservations may be made only once. Tickets not picked up will be returned to available status the following day.
The Library’s hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays. The Library is closed on Sundays.
Questions may be directed to Youth Services, Santa Maria Public Library, 925-0994.
