Lights, Sights & Holiday Nights Contest

Santa Maria is about to get a little more merry and bright! Get into the holiday spirit by participating in the 19^th Annual Lights, Sights & Holiday Nights Holiday Decoration Contest. The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department and Commission invite residents to spread some holiday cheer and join in the annual contest.

Community members can call in and nominate their favorite holiday displays. This year’s categories include: Best Decorated Residence within four City quadrants, Best of Show, Neighborhood Spirit, Best Animation, Best Craftsmanship, and Lifetime Achievement Award.

Nominations will be accepted starting Monday, November 16^th through Sunday, December 6^th. Judging will take place Monday, December 7^th thru Wednesday, December 9^th. Winners will be announced Friday, December 11^th, with special recognition given at the Santa Maria City Council meeting on Tuesday, December 15^th.

The Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Commission will judge nominations within the Santa Maria City limits. To nominate a home or business, please call (805) 925-0951 ext. 247.
