Youth NFL Flag Football Registration Now Open

The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department is accepting registrations for the upcoming Youth NFL FLAG Football League. The non-contact, recreational league is open to youth ages 8 to 14 and offers a six-game season focused on skill development, teamwork, and fun in a safe and structured environment.

NFL FLAG follows a 5-on-5 format in which players remove flags from the ball carrier instead of tackling. Coed divisions are available. The registration fee is $42 for City residents and $53 for non-City residents and includes an official NFL FLAG team jersey, mouthguard, and flag belt.

Games will be played on six consecutive Saturdays from October 10^th through November 14^th, with games beginning in the morning. Specific game times will be determined after registration closes and teams are formed. Games are anticipated to be held at Maramonte Park, pending field conditions. Participants will be notified of the final game location and schedule before the start of the season.

Volunteer head coaches are also needed for the upcoming season. Head coaches must be at least 18 years old and complete all volunteer requirements by Thursday, August 27^th. Eligible head coaches may receive one complimentary program registration for a participating child through the Head Coach Incentive Program. Those interested in coaching are encouraged to contact the Recreation and Parks Department for additional information.

Registration is available online at www.cityofsantamaria.org/register through Thursday, August 27^th. League play will begin on Saturday, October 10^th. Walk-in registration is also available at the Recreation and Parks Department Administrative office, 615 South McClelland Street.

Inscripciones para La Liga NFL FLAG Juvenil Están Disponibles

El Departamento de Recreación y Parques de la Ciudad de Santa Maria está aceptando inscripciones para la Liga Juvenil de Fútbol Americano NFL FLAG.
