The City of Santa Maria Public Library is pleased to receive grant funding from the Lyda Hill Philanthropies in support of gender equity in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). The $4,000 “IF/Then Gender Equity Engagement Grant” will be used to create a bilingual display highlighting female scientists. The installation will be featured for one year beginning Friday, January 27th  in the “Teen Zone” at the Library. The Library is located at 421 South McClelland Street.

Beginning Saturday, January 28th,  family program take-home packs featuring a series of six engineering activities will be offered bi-weekly at all library branch locations through March.
