The City of Santa Maria Public Library welcomes Love on a Leash back to the Library for an afternoon of reading. Love on a Leash volunteers will bring dogs to the Youth Services Altrusa Theater on Friday, May 27th from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. The Library is located at 421 South McClelland Street.
Reading to dogs is a wonderful way for children to gain confidence while reading aloud. These dogs absolutely love all kinds of books and are excellent listeners. No one pays attention to a child reading quite like dogs.
