Energy Saving DIY Toolkit Workshop, Presented by 3C-REN
The City of Santa Maria Public Library and the Tri-County Regional Energy Network (3C-REN) are partnering to offer toolkits for patrons to make their homes more energy efficient. Staff from 3C-REN will offer a free demonstration on Saturday, May 7th at 10:30 am in the Library’s Shepard Hall. The Library is located at 421 South McClelland Street.
Each toolbox includes tools and other measuring devices to improve energy efficiency around the home. The kits also include LED light bulbs, outlet gaskets, weather stripping and water leak detection dye tablets that patrons can keep. The toolkits are available for checkout at the main Library.
The Tri-County Regional Energy Network (3C-REN) is a partnership between San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties, with the goal of delivering energy-saving programs and industry trainings that help reduce energy use, strengthen local job markets, and support efforts to achieve climate goals.
