Live Action Mystery Series at the Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center


The City of Santa Maria Mayor’s Task Force on Youth Safety invites teens in grades 7 through 12 to participate in the Great Mystery Series at the Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center, located at 600 South McClelland Street. The three-part series will take place from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays in May.


The program will kick off with a live action game of Clue on May 11th, followed by a challenge to complete an “impossible” mission on May 18th. The series concludes with a paranormal mystery activity on May 25th.


The Great Mystery Series is a fun opportunity for teens to develop critical thinking skills and make new friends. Pre-registration is required at, as space is limited.


The Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center is a safe and supervised setting where teens engage in recreational activities. The youth center is open on weekdays from 2:30 to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from noon to 5:00 p.m. Its amenities include an arcade, an art studio, basketball courts, a computer lab, a fitness center, a movie room, musical instruments, and tutoring. Membership is free for teens in grades 7 through 12.
