Junior Giants Summer Baseball League

The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department will launch the Junior Giants Baseball League with in-person play this summer. The Junior Giants program is a free, non-competitive co-ed baseball league for ages 5-13 and governed by the San Francisco Giants Community Fund. Parents can visit to register their child online.

This program works together with local agencies, families, and volunteers to bring the community together and offer youth a chance to learn the basics of baseball while working on positive character development, discovering the importance of essential life skills, and improving motor control and function. All participants will have the opportunity to earn Junior Giants incentives such as tickets to San Francisco Giants games.

  • Divisions offered include T- Ball for ages 5 to 6; Minors for ages 7 to 9; and Majors for ages 10 to 13.

The registration deadline is Saturday, April 30th with practices starting the week of June 6th. Games will be held on Saturdays beginning June 25th. Volunteer recruitment for team coaches and parent support is also underway.

Questions may be directed to the Recreation and Parks Department at (805) 925-0951 extension 2260.
