Free “Active Living” programs at the Elwin Mussell Center  

 

The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department is pleased to announce several free “Active Living” programs being offered at the Elwin Mussell Center, 510 E. Park Avenue for adults 50 years and older: Table Tennis, Indoor Pickleball, and Mah Jongg.

 

Table Tennis and Indoor Pickleball will provide players of all fitness levels the opportunity for challenging play and skill development. Table Tennis will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Tuesday, April 5th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., and Indoor Pickleball will be held on Thursday’s beginning Friday, April 1st from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Loaner equipment is available for participants.

 

Mah Jongg is a fascinating rummy-like game played with tiles rather than cards and great for your brain, full of strategy and skill. This free program is held the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month and every Friday from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.
