Community Emergency Response Team Training

The public is invited to participate in a free Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) course being offered by the City of Santa Maria Fire Department starting on Monday January 11^th.  Interested participants are asked to show up at 6:00 p.m. at the Santa Maria Fire Department, 314 W. Cook Street.

CERT volunteers are trained in a variety of emergency preparedness and response roles to assist their families, neighbors, and co-workers whenever there is an emergency or disaster. 

Classes are on successive Monday and Wednesday nights starting Monday, January 11^th and finishing on February 8^th with an exercise/drill.

Registration is required and attendance at all classes is required to receive the certificate.  The class is offered free of charge.
