Pool Opens for Recreation Swim
The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department welcomes back the public for recreation swim. The Paul Nelson Aquatics Center, 600 South McClelland Street, will be open for recreation swim starting Wednesday, June 16th through Friday, June 18th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. (limited capacity). In addition, weekly weekend recreation swim will resume Saturday, June 19th from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Pool admission is free to City of Santa Maria residents Wednesday, June 16th through Sunday, June 20th. Single-entry public swim fees will be applied per individual starting Saturday, June 26th.
Five years and under and 65 years and older: Free
Six years to 16 years of age: $1.50
17 years to 54 years of age: $3.00
55 years to 64 years of age: $1.50
The entrance to the facility is located on the back side of the Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center. Locker rooms, showers and family changing rooms will be available.
Swimsuits are required for everyone entering the water. Approved waterproof swim diapers are required for children not potty-trained. Everyone entering the water must shower beforehand. No inflatable devices (water wings) are permitted. An adult, 18 years of age and older is required to always be in the water with children five years and younger.
