Teen STEAM Makerspace Packs at the Library

The City of Santa Maria Public Library Youth Services staff is excited to announce its award of a $10,000 CopyCat grant from the California State Library to fund Teen STEAM Makerspace packs. Every other week June through August, visit the Library to pick up a new themed pack.  Packs will contain experiments and creations based on different components of STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.

Packs are geared toward junior high- and high school-age students and can be picked up from the main Library or any branch location: Cuyama, Guadalupe, Orcutt, Los Alamos or the SMPL to Go Bookmobile, during open hours.  At the main Library, packs may be picked up at the Youth Services desk.  All packs are available while supplies last, and no registration is required. One pack per teen, please. The main library is located at 421 South McClelland Street.

This project was supported in whole or in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.
