Distance Learning Camp
The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department is offering a Distance Learning Camp for children enrolled in Kindergarten through 6th grades. The Distance Learning Camp mirrors a regular school day offering a safe setting for students to observe lessons and complete school work from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Students will be required to bring their Chromebooks, chargers, headphones, all necessary school supplies, and a face covering.
The afternoon portion of the camp will consist of a fun and educational environment that will aid youth in achieving a positive self-image while enhancing their physical, mental, and social growth.
The Distance Learning Camp will be held at the Minami Community Center, located at 600 West Enos Drive. The camp begins Monday, August 31st, and will take place on weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Distance Learning Camp fee is $100.00 per weekly session, per participant, and is based on a full-time schedule.
