City Creates Guide to Support Local Restaurants/Cafes
The City of Santa Maria is making it easier for residents to support local restaurants with a new website they can access by phone or any device. The resource maps the local eateries still open for business during the COVID-19 emergency.
The map-style guide, published by the City, is a useful tool populated by local businesses featuring coffee shops, cafes and restaurants throughout the Santa Maria Valley that are providing take-out, curbside pick-up or delivery service.
So far, more than 70 restaurants are listed. To request the addition of a restaurant to the map, go to the map link.
“It is very important to the City to support our local businesses during this extraordinarily difficult time of widespread economic hardship,” Public Information Manager Mark van de Kamp said.
The City is posting a variety of resources available to businesses from the State and Federal government as well as other organizations, on the City’s coronavirus resources webpage, www.cityofsantamaria.org/coronavirus. This information will continue to be updated as more resources become available. The City remains dedicated to engaging with the business community to both provide support and ultimately move towards economic recovery.
