Importance of Social Distancing

It is critical for the entire community to practice social distancing to slow the spread of the highly contagious COVID-19 virus. Staying home is the best way to protect yourself and others.

Everyone in California is required by a State Health Order to stay home except to get food, care for a relative or friend, get necessary health care, or go to an essential job. If you go out, keep at least six feet of distance at all times with others.

Be aware the State Health Order can change as conditions warrant.

What you can do:

Shop for groceries while maintaining 6 feet of distance between yourself and others

Go for a walk or hike, maintaining 6 feet of distance between yourself and others

Work/Play in your yard

Go to grocery stores, food banks, pharmacies, banks, post offices, laundromats, or gas stations

Pick up or delivery of foods
