The Library Foundation is a non-profit 501c3 organization supporting all of the libraries in the Santa Maria Public Library system including branches in Cuyama, Guadalupe, Los Alamos, Orcutt, and the main library in Santa Maria. Since forming in 2014, the Library Foundation has worked closely with library staff and local community grantors to fund over $125,000 in programs and services including afterschool homework help, local history photo displays, seed libraries and gardening books, learning with media materials, STEAM learning kits for children, library public service announcements for local television stations, the Library’s annual Volunteer Recognition lunch, the Library’s annual Cowboy Poetry event, and the future bookmobile.
The dinner event is $55 per person and includes a choice of either chicken or tri-tip buffet or vegetarian jackfruit catered by Moxie Cafe. All dinners come with sides, non-alcoholic beverages, and dessert. A special silent auction will feature gifts donated by local businesses and individuals.
