Movie Night at the Library on February 11th

The City of Santa Maria Public Library is pleased to show the movie Dead Poets Society (1989) which is rated PG. The film will be screened on Monday, February 11th at 5:00 p.m. in Shepard Hall. This event is free and no tickets are required.

Robin Williams portrays English professor John Keating, who, in an age of crew cuts, sports coats, and cheerless conformity, inspires his student to live life to the fullest, exclaiming “Carpe Diem, lads! Seize the day. Make your lives extraordinary!” The charismatic teacher’s emotionally charged challenge is met by his students with irrepressible enthusiasm — changing their lives forever.

Seating is limited and is offered on a first come, first served basis. Freshly popped popcorn will also be served free of charge.

The Library’s hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The Library is closed on Sunday. The Library is located at 421 South McClelland Street.
