Movie Night at the Library on January 21st

           

 

The City of Santa Maria Public Library is pleased to show the movie Selma (2014) in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. This film is rated PG-13. The film will be screened on Monday, January 21st at 3:00 p.m. in Shepard Hall. This event is free and no tickets are required.

 

This movie chronicles the historic march as Martin Luther King, Jr. (David Oyelowo) leads other prominent civil rights leaders and supporters from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, for the right to vote.

 

Seating is limited and is offered on a first come, first served basis. Freshly popped popcorn will also be served free of charge.

 

The Library’s hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The Library is closed on Sunday. The Library is located at 421 South McClelland Street.
