Jazz for Kids Comes to the Library

Join us at the Santa Maria Public Library on Friday, March 20th, 2015 for an exciting musical program by Charged Particles.  This special performance will be held in the Altrusa Theater beginning at 4:00 p.m.  Charged Particles! offers workshops that bring to life the fun of America’s original musical style: jazz.  Jazz is made up of four building blocks: rhythmic grooves, melody, harmony, and most importantly, improvisation.  This special program is open to children ages five and above with their parents or guardians.

Youth Services requires a free ticket for admittance to their special programs.  Tickets for this program will be available beginning on Friday, March 13th and may be picked up at the Children’s Desk or reserved by phone to be picked up later that day.  A maximum of six (6) tickets may be reserved however reservations may only be made once.  This program is graciously sponsored by the Friends of the Santa Maria Public Library.

The Library’s hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays.  The Library is closed on Sundays.
