

The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department, in partnership with the PLAY, Inc., Allan Hancock College and Santa Maria Joint Union High School District, is proud to present the 15th Annual Dia de Los Muertos Festival.
This year, the event will be held at the Fine Arts Building F on the Allan Hancock College campus on Sunday, October 26th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is a free family event open to the entire community.
Celebrate this rich cultural tradition with:
- Cultural activities and crafts
- Food and artisan vendors
- Community and family altars, including the beautiful Tree of Life
- Live cultural performances showcasing traditional music and dance
- Contests and Prizes
The festival honors the memories of loved ones who have passed, celebrating the positive impact they had on our lives. Experience traditional elements such as marigolds, sugar skulls, and elaborate face painting, alongside heartfelt altars adorned with photos, favorite foods, and meaningful mementos, welcoming spirits back for a brief reunion.
Join us for a joyful day of remembrance filled with music, dance, family, and colorful decorations that reflect the vibrant traditions of Dia de los Muertos.
