Consolidated Plan

The Special Projects Division serves as the lead agency in the development of the City's CONSOLIDATED PLAN. The CONSOLIDATED PLAN is required of local governments that apply directly for federal funds under certain housing and community development programs, such as the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and the HOME Investment Partnerships Program. These federal programs are administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The CONSOLIDATED PLAN is a comprehensive planning document that describes the overall housing and community development needs of the jurisdiction and outlines a five-year strategy that establishes priorities for meeting those needs. The Special Projects Division has developed the CONSOLIDATED PLAN for Fiscal Years 2005-2009. Copies of the CONSOLIDATED PLAN are on file for public review and examination at the Special Projects Division office, 110 East Cook Street, Room 2, the City Clerk's office, 110 East Cook Street, Room 3, and the City Library, 420 South Broadway. Interested persons may obtain their own copy of the documents at the Special Projects Division office, within three days after the request is received.
